University of the Philippines
CO Manila launched in 2015 in partnership with Bread from Heaven Church. Manila is one of the only countries in Southeast Asia where it is legal to evangelize on college campuses. The campus staff minister to students at the University of the Philippines, one of the country’s top universities. The Manila team and partner church are strategically positioned to reach more Filipinos with the gospel.
Pray for the location…
God was at work at this year's Summer Leadership Project, and He met students right where they were. Multiple Staff members have said that this SLP was one of the best ever!
Seeing the growth and intentionality of returning students, as well as the new students' genuine hunger to learn and grow was so encouraging.
After learning about the state of the world and the great number of people who have no access to the gospel, two students came up to LEAD Staff Bradie and shared their desire to move to another country to share the gospel and the hope that they have with those who haven't heard! Praise God for moving in these young student’s hearts!
Pray for the staff…
That God would give them development in new relationships with students and deepen current relationships.
That God would use them use the staff as they read the Bible with other students, and He would open up the hearts of students to hear the word of Truth in the Scripture.
That God would make them bold in their faith and deepen their intimacy with their Heavenly Father, and then bear much fruit through them.
That God would give continued favor with the many relationships we have with campus administrators; and opportunities to care for students both through practical help and spiritual assistance.
Pray for the students…
That God would grow in the believers, a vision for the lost to know Jesus.
That God would build up the student leaders to take the Gospel to their lost friends.
That God will grow the seed of the gospel in non-believers' hearts.
That He would reveal His Truth to them in His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit.
That the two students who accepted a call to the nations, and other students, God would grow their hearts for the world and that they would make disciples wherever God leads them!
A male student is reading the Bible with LEAD Staff, Daniel. This student mentioned as a new believer he has felt lonely and that distractions can pull him away from walking the road that leads to life (Matthew 7:13-14). Please pray that the Lord will strengthen their friendship and that they can encourage/sharpen one another in person this semester.
For those who participated in the Summer Leadership Project discipleship training, to deepen their relationship with the Lord and walk in step with the Spirit.

That Matthew and Taylor Roth, Field Staff, had their son, Elliot James!
The CO Weekly gathering kicked off Sep 21.
In July, several students involved in the campus ministry were baptized, as well as some family members of those students who have been spiritually impacted as God has worked through those students’ lives. Praise the Lord for how he is using your prayers to transform individual lives and through those individuals, transforming families as well!
