NTM Uniforms Fits Medical Services Providers

June 2004 marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of NTM Uniforms, a business that continues to grow strong day by day.

For business-owners Noe and Elisa Morin, preparatory work began long beforehand. As a nurse, Mrs. Morin wanted a store that offered variety.  Once they decided what kind of business to open, they began to look for the right location, to work on their business plan, to speak to suppliers, and much more.

Mr. and Mrs. Morin are glad for all of their planning. They advise others, “Do your research. Know what you are getting yourself into. Be prepared and organized. Don’t rush into it. Planning will help you have an idea of what you have to do.”  The couple credits the business plan process with helping them with their budgeting tasks.

Their combined experience in merchandising and manufacturing, as well as their computer skills and attention to precision, has helped them work through the business and to deal with unexpected bumps along the road.  Mr. and Mrs. Morin make sure all the merchandise is quality material when it arrives and when it leaves the store.  They work diligently with their suppliers and customers.

Their customer service approach is simple: “Talk to people and see what tthey like or dislike. Make sure you pay attention and you will get repeat customers,” says Mr. Morin.  While he admits he is still learning a lot about people and personalities, he notes it is a very important part of a business.  He is excited about learning the technical aspects of the business as well as getting to know new people every day. The couple enjoy seeing their customers happy when they walk in and out the door.

Noe and Elisa Morin are happy with the results of their hard work. To aspiring entrepreneurs, they advise, “Make sure this is what you want. Be confident, positive, change the negative to the positive, and don’t give up.”

The couple sees their business as an investment and expect a future return on their dedication. Realistic about their short-term and long-term goals, they seek to provide a service that makes people happy, a better life for their children, and enjoyment for themselves.
