 The Rural
Cooperative Development Center provides business training
and technical assistance to existing and start-up
cooperatives, cooperative members, and member businesses. To
better serve rural cooperatives in the South Texas region,
the Center maintains several office locations throughout
South Texas. Services include:
- Cooperative start-up and business technical
assistance
- Cooperative marketing assistance
- Internet & computer training
- Rural business planning and start-up assistance
- Business plan and financial projections development
- Loan application assistance
- Loan packaging assistance
- Identification of financing sources

The Rural Cooperative Development Center is a partnership
effort among The United States Department of Agriculture,
The University of Texas - Pan American, and several other
organizations, including:

STAFF
The Texas Rural Cooperative Center has in place a capable
in-house management team that can deliver quality technical
assistance to client organizations in an efficient and
effective manner. The Center continually develops its
project-process methodology to insure continued improvement
of its technical assistance capacity.
USDA
The Texas Rural Cooperative Center is sponsored by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture in partnerhsip with the University
of Texas - Pan American. The Center is funded through a
Rural Cooperative Development Grant and UTPA resources
including resources from a broad array of community-based
organizations.
