One Stop Capital Shop is a project of the Rio Grande Valley Empowerment Zone in Partnership with the Office of Center Operations and Community Services (COSERVE) at The University of Texas - Pan American

The goal of the One Stop Capital Shop is to help create, retain, and develop businesses and jobs in federally designated empowerment zones by coupling financial programs with managerial and technical assistance.

The role of a One Stop Capital Shop (OSCS) is to create, retain, and grow businesses and jobs within federally designated empowerment zone areas. The OSCS provides access to free technical and business assistance and capital to entrepreneurs and small business persons by linking the resources of business and economic development entities.

The Rio Grande Valley OSCS represents a partnership between the RGV Empowerment Zone, SBA, CEED, SBDC, SCORE, MBOC, RECD, CDCs, micro lenders, and local banks. The OSCS will coordinate business development efforts by these entities, and will house a Business Information Center.
