 An
organization without a strategic plan lacks
direction. A strategic plan represents a
road map for what the group wants to achieve
and where it expects to be in 3, 5 or 10
years.
The SBNRC can facilitate a strategic
planning process for board members, key
staff and other organization stakeholders.
This process will result in a written plan
with goals, objectives and time lines. The
process includes articulating the mission
and vision of the nonprofit, agreeing on
priorities, identifying barriers to success
and finalizing the plan. The strategic
planning process can be accomplished in a
weekend retreat or several one day sessions.
Subsequent efforts are dependent on the
organization's needs.
