County Facts

Location: South Texas Rio Grande Valley. Bounded by: Hidalgo County to the west, Kenedy County and the famed King Ranch to the north, the Laguna Madre,Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico to the east, and Cameron County to the south. The county seat is Raymondville; other principal communities include the farming centers of Lyford, San Perlita and the Port of Mansfield. Agriculture, hunting and fishing are important parts of the life and economy in the county.
