Home Ownership & Money Management Education (HOMME) is our attempt to help families in the Lower Rio Grande Valley gain control of their personal finances, protect their credit, access mainstream financing, and ultimately build wealth through home ownership. Through this project, The University of Texas-Pan American provides Personal Finance and Homebuyer Education classes, Pre & Post Home Ownership Counseling, Money Coaching and Micro Business Counseling throughout the more than 868 colonias in Hidalgo County.

Project HOMME provides the much-needed education at a learning level (in English and/or Spanish) that is easily understood.  The desired outcome of Project HOMME is to enhance affordable housing opportunities and business development through personal financial management and home or small-business ownership guidance.
